Railway is a decent size bit of water with Carp, Bream, Hybrids, Roach, Tench, Pike and possibly Chubb present.
The stock of Carp is small and goes to around mid 20s. These can be quite hard to catch but with the right tactics and patience they can be tripped up.
There is a good stock of Bream and Hybrids and in the summer these can be seen in big black clouds under the water. Average size of around 4-5lb.
The Roach can be quite good fun and you can spend a day catching one after another not that far from the bank in the shallow water. Only going quiet whena Pike comes through to swim.
The Tench stock is almost non-existent but can be caught with patience and the right tactics
There is a good stock of Pike present and these can be caught on a variety of usual tactics. With stories of a few good ones present also.
There could be a few Chubb present from when the river floods in at the back. Although you do have to keep a real eye on the water level if this happens as it can catch you out and rise up flooding your pitch within a few hours.
