Holts is a little farm pit that has surprisingly good fishing for many species. These include Carp, Bream, Roach and lots of Pike.
The Carp stock is good for a pit of its size and these fish go to around the mid 20lb mark with doubles being the norm. These fish go for a variety pf baits and tactics. In the summer they can be caught off the surface with the right amount of stealth and patience.
Theres a few Bream present, mainly skimmers but the odd bigger one that has evaded the Pike comes along now and again.
Theres not a bad stock of Roach and spending a few hours with a box of maggots you can have a really good days fishing.
The Pike stock in Holts seem to be infinite, mainly Jack Pike, but there is the odd bigger one in double figures and a winters day spent with dead baits or spinning can be very productive
